About Us

As a CPA, Dianne has specialized in monthly accounting, financial statement preparation, compilations and reviews for Susan S. Lewis Ltd.'s clients. Working with the firm since December 2006, she loves helping small businesses and the interaction she has with business owners on a daily basis. Dianne also has extensive QuickBooks and other accounting software knowledge and has spent many hours assisting and training clients with their bookkeeping tasks. She has relocated to a warmer climate, and when not crunching numbers, loves to craft, travel, and play golf.

Patti brings years of accounting expertise and manages the weekly, biweekly and monthly  payrolls for clients. She's also an active member of several not-for-profit organizations, including the St. Charles Moose Family Center, which provides support for children and seniors in need. She'll never pass up a raffle ticket for a good cause-which recently resulted in her winning a custom-made motorcycle.

Tanner is the Office Administrator who helps keep the office running smoothly behind the scenes. She supports daily operations by staying organized, handling essential administrative tasks, and making sure everything is in place for the team to succeed. She believes that life is better with a little laughter, a lot of LEGO, and plenty of family time, and outside of work she enjoys building LEGO sets, spending quality time with her fiancé and son, and enjoying life with her growing family.

Lisa Adrian is a Senior Tax Strategist with 18 years of experience providing comprehensive tax and accounting services to individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Her areas of focus include individual and business tax compliance, tax planning, and bookkeeping, and with a degree in accounting she is committed to delivering accurate, thorough, and strategic guidance in an ever-changing tax environment. Lisa approaches each engagement with professionalism and attention to detail, supporting clients in achieving compliance and informed financial decision-making.

Peter Budzinski graduated in May of 2024 from North Central College with a degree in Business Administration Economics and is a first-year Tax Specialist with a strong background in client service and a commitment to accuracy and professionalism. He is currently working on his Enrolled Agent certification and plans to pursue a master’s degree in accounting to expand his knowledge and experience, with the goal of providing every client with a positive, thorough experience while continuing to grow professionally at Block Advisors so he can better serve clients and the team.

Kim Hughes is the Associate Office Manager with over 18 years of entrepreneurial experience and more than two decades in leadership roles at H&R Block and Block Advisors, bringing a unique blend of business acumen and people-first values to her work. She’s passionate about creating a welcoming, family-like environment where clients feel cared for and teams thrive, and her mission is simple: inspire collaboration, encourage positivity, and make success enjoyable for everyone involved. Outside of work, she loves camping, fishing, hiking, and cruising around the campground on a golf cart, and she enjoys cooking, crafting, and dancing in the kitchen with her four kids and six grandbabies.

Arun Kumararaj is an Enrolled Agent (EA) and Senior Tax Strategist with eight years of experience helping small business owners navigate the complexities of tax planning and compliance. A proud NIU Huskie, Arun has passed all sections of the CPA exam and specializes in transforming accounting into clean, accurate financial records that give business owners confidence in their numbers. His goal is simple: help clients sleep better at night knowing their tax situation is handled proactively, not reactively. When he’s not untangling financial puzzles, you’ll find him planning his next adventure — he recently summited Mount Fuji and is currently training for his trek to Machu Picchu in Peru — because he believes preparation and the right strategy make all the difference.
